Assistant Service Manager

As a service advisor, these are just a few duties you can expect with your new career.

Successful candidate will sell and schedule needed service work in the service department. Opens and closes repair orders and follows up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction. Applicants must possess strong computer skills, organizational skills, and oral/written communication skills.
Duties include but are not limited to the following.

• Schedules service appointments. Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when                 possible
• Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information
• Writes up customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order
• Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service
• Advises customers on the care of their trucks and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts
• Establishes "promised time" and checks on progress of repairs throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed
• Computes customer bills and closes all open repair orders

Qualified candidates must have a neat, clean appearance and a great attitude. Prior related experience is helpful but is not required to be hired.
